The 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games were held in Toronto and the Host First Nation, The Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation, invited the world to Eat, Play and Learn more about their culture through an innovative PR and experiential program called #YouAreWelcome.
In partnership with XTM, Judy Lewis will showcase how Social PR successfully brought people together to communicate across cultures and advance the awareness and understanding of our Host First Nation.
The interactive presentation will showcase authentic Aboriginal cultural elements, and celebrate Toronto as one of the world’s most culturally diverse cities. Participants will taste a traditional dish, prepared by Aboriginal Chef David Wolfman, and learn more about developing integrated multi-platform strategies while collaborating with marketing partners, to achieve compelling activations including a Food Truck; Spokespeople Media Appearances; Blogger Ambassadors; a Government-engaging Dignitary Day; and initiatives to engage tourists from around the world.
